A talk that finally answers the questions ‘what is a clinical pharmacologist?’ and ‘why would I want to be one?’. We will (in a hopefully light hearted and entertaining manner) explore this diverse and fascinating specialty, covering its illustrious history – with a particular focus on the contribution of UCL – what it is like to practice in it today, and give you an insight into current research that will hopefully transform future clinical care. Anyone with an open, inquiring mind who is interested in a career as a physician, particularly with an academic and educational component is encouraged to attend. There will be a panel discussion at the end and members of the team available to talk with if you are interested in finding out more – be it about current research opportunities at UCL or how to become a clinical pharmacologist of the future.
