MedSoc Anaesthetics and Intensive Care 2015-16

By | Anaesthetics and Intensive Care | No Comments

Welcome to the Anaesthetics and Intensive Care section of the UCLU Medical society! Anaesthetics and Intensive Care are two exciting and vital areas of medicine, that are not only important in their own right, but in many other specialties as well. We aim to make this apparent throughout the year by providing you with a variety of lectures, workshops and other resources.

The first date to put in your diaries is Saturday 23rd January, when the InspireMedicine event will be running. This is an all day conference full of inspiring talks and workshops from many specialties, including anaesthetics and intensive care! We will be holding some exciting and practical stations on BLS, intubation and more.

Keep checking the page for more information on the conference and future events.

An evening with Mervyn Singer: Burning the midnight oil on ITU

Intensive care often means dealing with extremes… highly abnormal physiology, bizarre behaviour, taxing ethical dimensions, and challenging diagnostic and management issues. It is our great honour to invite Prof of Intensive Care Medicine at UCLH, Mervyn Singer, who will be presenting a pot pourri of memorable cases to hopefully entertain and enlighten. Stay tuned for more details! MS 2
