Founded in 2011, UCLU Medical Society has become one of the largest societies in existence at UCLU, composing of more than 800 members. Our society serves to support the education and careers of UCL Medical Students.
UCLU Medical Society welcomes speakers form a wide range of medical specialities, enabling its members to pursue their interest and to contemplate possible career options. Events hosted will allow members to interact with the leading physicians in the UK.
UCLU Medical Society organizes high quality educational events comprising of seminars, tutorials and mock exams, which seek to supplement the five core years of the MBBS program. We are thrilled to have the guidance and support of our Patron Professor Jane Dacre, the new President of the Royal College of Physicians.

Educational Events Organized
One of our most recent achievements was the independent organization of our first National Medical Student Careers Conference, aptly named InsipreMedicine.¬†Consisting of a range of talks, specialty workshops and competitions delivered by high profile doctors such as Medicine ‘power-couple’ Dr. Clare Gerada (Outgoing Chair Royal College of GPs) and Professor Sir Simon Wessley (Royal College of Psychiatry President).
Recently, we have launched MedSoc Mondays, where we provide a diverse range of weekly talks and activities for Medical Students to participate in. This means that we regularly engage with our members and have ample opportunity for our members to stay active in the society.
UCL is world renowned as “London’s Global University” with its centrally located campus. Consistent of a student body exceeding 25,000 students and regularly being ranked in the top five institutions worldwide.
